Looking to learn some advanced sweater techniques and improve your cabling skills? The stunning Claret pattern by Thea Coleman is perfect for learning all the tips and tricks of perfecting your garments. Learn how to get a great cabled fabric, how to cable without a needle and how to easily read cabling charts. We’ll also talk about how to take the stress out of seaming and how to get a great fit on a pieced/seamed garments. 

Three 2-hour sessions

  • Previously knit a sweater 
  • Previous experience reading patterns
  • Increases, decreases, knit, purl
  • Basic cabling skills

Knit a gauge swatch using the 20 stitch cable repeat of the main chart. Wash and lay flat to dry. If you don’t get gauge, please re-swatch in adjusted needle size until the gauge matches. Students should also bring in a sweater they currently own (doesn’t need to be hand knit) that they like the fit of.
