  • Confidence working in the round

  • Foundation single crochet
  • Creating a yoke by working increases in half double crochet
  • Shaping using increase and decreases
  • Creating a garment to fit



  • Sizes based on adult woman’s bust size: XS- up to 30 inches, (S- 31-34 inches, M- 35-38 inches, L- 39-42 inches XL- 43-46 inches) (2XL- 47-50 inches, 3XL- 51-54 inches, 4XL- 55-58 inches, 5XL- 59-62 inches )
  • Bulky yarn: 657(711,793,875,957) (1067,1203,1340,1477) yards
  • US K (6.5mm) crochet hook, or any hook to achieve gauge
  • Scissors, open ring stitch markers, tapestry needle
  • A purchased copy of the Clara Sweater Pattern by Tinderbox Crochet


Read through the entire pattern and choose a size based on your measurements. Create a gauge swatch by chaining 27 and work in unjoined rounds.  Block the swatch as you would your finished sweater. Bring all materials to the first class.
