Master Fair Isle knitting with this adorable hat project. You will learn to read stranded colorwork charts and how to hold two colors for Fair Isle knitting.

  • DK weight yarn in at least two colors. The pattern is written for 150 yards of the main color and small amounts of each of 4 contrast colors. We recommend Eco-Cashmere by Blue Sky Fibers Size 5 (3.75 mm) 16″ circular needle

  • US#5 (3.75 mm) 16″ circular needle

  • US#6 (4.0 mm) 16″ circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge

  • US# 6 (4.0 mm) double pointed needle, or size needed to obtain gauge

  • Stitch marker

  • Tapestry needle

Please cast on for the size hat you wish to make, work the ribbed brim and the stockinette stitch portion of the hat, arriving to class ready to start the fair isle section.
