This classic raglan sweater works up quickly and looks great! Sweater No. 9 is a perfect place to start if you are new to making garments. 

Three 2 hour sessions

  • How to make a garment that fits


  • Bust size: XS(32-34”), S(34-36”), M(36-38”), L(40-42”), XL(43-45”), XXL(46-48”). 
  • Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino 6,6,7,8,9,10 balls and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair 3,4,4,5,5,5 balls. The sweater is knit with both strands of yarn. Or chose 822,822,959,1096,1233, 1370 yards of any bulky yarn
  • US 8 circulars (16”) US 11 circulars (24” and 32”) plus US 8 and US 11 double points. (These needle sizes are a suggestion – use any needle that gets gauge)
  • Stitch markers (one unique for the beginning of the round), scissors, tape measure, tapestry needle, waste yarn for holding stitches
  • A purchased copy of Sweater No. 9 by My Favorite Things



Read the entire pattern, and choose a size based on your measurements. Intended sweater ease is 6”. Choose your size based on the ease you’d like. Make a gauge swatch in the round. Wash the swatch as you would the finished garment. Bring all materials to the first class.
