Explore the wonder of shawls in this open study class. Test your skills and learn to read charts with garter-tab cast ons, short rows, and all the design details for these versatile accessories. Please submit the pattern for approval prior to class.
Three 2 hour sessions
Instructor: Kerry
Skills needed: ability to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and some previous experience with increases or decreases.
Skills learned:
- Reading charts/patterns
- Garter tab cast on
- Increasing
- Decreasing
- Blocking
Materials:
- Yarn and needles according to pattern you have selected
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Pattern should be submitted to the instructor at least 72 hours before class. If you have any questions about technique or yarn selection, instructor can assist.
Homework:
Have yarn ready and wound prior to the start of class and submit pattern for approval.
