Ready to tackle socks? Join us for making socks from the cuffs to the toes, and learning how to turn those heels.
Choose to learn or develop your skill with magic loop or double point needles as we work through this versatile everyday sock.
Three 2 hour classes
Skills needed: Intermediate/Advanced class. Students should be able to knit, purl, increase and decrease, work in the round.
- Basic sock construction
- Turning heels
- Picking up stitches
- For Rye Light: 120-480 yards of sock yarn OR For Rye: 150-300 yards of worsted weight wool
- For Rye Light: US#1 and US#2 DPNS or 32”+ cable for magic loop OR For Rye: US#3 and US#5 DPNS or 32”+ cable for magic loop
- Stitch Markers
- Tapestry Needle
- A Copy of Rye Socks or Rye Light from Tin Can Knits
