In this class, you’ll get the guidance to decode the pattern, get started, and determine the fit you need and strategies to complete and finish your project. Pattern options include two t-shirts for warmer weather and two long-sleeved pullovers for the winter months.

Advanced beginner: Perfect Crochet T-Shirt

Skills Needed: 

  • Chaining
  • Single Crochet 

Supplies Needed: 

  • DK weight yarn, XS-696, (S-928, M-928, L-1160, XL-1160), (2X-1392, 3X-1392, 4X-1624, 5X-1624) yards. We recommend Berroco Pima Soft, Julie Asselin DK and Noro Kakigori
  • Size US F(3.75 mm) crochet hook, or size needed to meet gauge 
  • An assortment of locking stitch markers
  • Row counter
  • Tapestry needle
  • A purchased copy of the Perfect Crochet T-Shirt pattern 

Preparation: 

Make a 5”X 5”gauge swatch in the linen stitch as explained in the pattern. Wash and block the swatch, using your yarn label as a guide.  

 

Intermediate: Scrappy Granny Tee

Skills needed: 

  • Chaining
  • Single Crochet 
  • Double Crochet

 

Supplies Needed:

  • Fingering weight yarn, XS-880 (S-984, M-1045, L-1100, XL-1265, 2X-1342, 3X-1430, 4X-1500, 5X-1600) yards. We recommend Kelbourne Woolens Skipper, Julie Asselin Fingering, Periwinkle Sheep Sock 
  • US G(4.0 mm) crochet hook, or size needed to meet gauge 
  • An assortment of locking stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
  • A purchased copy of the Scrappy Granny Tee pattern 

 

Preparation: Make a gauge swatch. Do this by making an approximately 5”X 5” granny square using your favorite pattern or work an approximately 5”X 5” swatch using the flat granny stitch; this tutorial is one example. Wash and block the swatch, using the yarn label care instructions as a guide. Please bring the swatch to the first class. 

 

Intermediate: Athabasca Falls Pullover 

Skills Needed: 

  • Chaining
  • Single Crochet 
  • Double Crochet

Supplies Needed: 

  • Worsted/Aran weight yarn XS-900(S-1000, M-1120, L-1250, XL-1400)(2X-1430, 3X-1550, 4X-1700, 5X-1850)yards. We recommend Wooldreamers Mota, de Rerum Natura Gilliatt and Kelbourne Woolens Germantown
  • US H (5.00mm) crochet hook, for the ribbing and a US J (6.0mm) crochet hook, for the body of the sweater. Adjust hook size as needed to meet gauge 
  • An assortment of locking stitch markers
  • Row counter
  • Tapestry needle
  • A copy of the Athabasca Falls Pullover pattern (please note: you can find a free copy of the pattern here, however the purchased copy is preferred for the class)

Make a 5”X 5”gauge swatch in double crochet. Wash and block the swatch, using your yarn label as a guide. Bring the swatch to the first class. 

 

Intermediate to Advanced: Rebecca Raglan

Skills Needed: 

  • Chaining
  • Single crochet
  • Half Double Crochet

Supplies Needed: 

  • Worsted weight yarn XS-657(S-739, M-821, L-930, XL-1067, 2XL-1203, 3XL-1368, 4XL-1532, 5XL-1750) yards. We recommend Wooldreamers Mota, de Rerum Natura Gilliatt and Kelbourne Woolens Germantown
  • US J (6.0mm) crochet hook. Adjust hook size as needed to meet gauge
