Gum Tree X Spincycle Bundle
Availability: | In stock (9) |
Combining locally grown Merino with our very own custom Spincycle color, the Royal Mile, this bundle is a great fibre space souvenir and kit to make a gorgeous accessory. Each bundle includes 1 skein of Spincycle the Royal Mile paired with your choice of one of three natural wool colors of Gum Tree Merino of Middleburg, VA.
About Dream State in the Royal Mile:
The color was created by Spincycle when we moved to our current location on Prince Street. The colors of Royal Mile are inspired by our logo and fibre girl herself, but the name has significant meaning. The Spincycle mill is located on Queen Street in Bellingham, Washington, while we moved from King Street to Prince Street. With all of those royal figures in play, the royal distinction was certainly fitting.
About Gum Tree:
Gum Tree Farm hails from right down the road in Middleburg, Virginia, where owner Franny Kansteiner raises her certified organic Merino flock. Once beginning with just three lambs, her family farm is now home to a thriving flock of 300 and a dedication to handmade wool products.
Established in 1995, Gum Tree Farm is a truly unique place – the sheep are born and raised on the farm, their wool is organically processed, and the fleece is spun at Green Mountain Spinnery and then woven into cloth for the handmade products sold at the farm. The whole making cycle, from sheep to shawl, is handmade in America.
We are delighted to have secured yarn from their last year’s clipping. We have three natural colors of Merino from Gum Tree – white, silver, and dark chocolate – in a beautifully springy worsted weight. This single-ply is rich with natural lanolin and lovely to work with.
