So you have a finished object. Congrats! But now what? Blocking is how you set your fabric and give your project a finished look. It can help even out any tension discrepancies or even get stockinette to lay (mostly) flat! In this class we will discuss the materials and process of blocking, the “memory” of different fibers, and how to block certain types of projects and fabrics, from stockinette sweaters to lace shawls. No materials are needed for this class, but feel free to bring a recently finished object or a project you would like advice on how to block.
