Skill Builder: Illusion Knitting

At first, you see a simple striped fabric. But wait, look at it from a different angle and suddenly a new pattern appears! It’s not magic, although it can seem like it. Illusion knitting, also called shadow knitting, takes advantage of the height difference in garter vs stockinette fabric to create a secondary image. While the charts can be a bit intimidating at first, the results will make you seem like a magician!
